For Eli's 3rd Birthday we went to the Zoo! It's always a good time at the Zoo! He's wearing underwear!! Since Eli made it a whole week going #1 & #2 without any accidents, we let him pick out a train at walmart the night before his b-day. He picked out Percy and since he had his train to play with he didn't mind waiting until later to open presents.

Blogging update:
My does time fly. It seems like a lot has happened since my last entry- speaking of- I have been meaning to put anything up so that annoying entry I wrote wouldn't be the first thing that pops up when you come check us out on our blog.. Unfortunately, my plans don't always turn into action as soon as I would like. So after a few misfortunes- minor really-
Our computer getting a virus or two and being out of commission for about a week or two...(But fortunately, Stan is great at figuring things out and he fixed it!
Our A/C broke for the 2nd time in 14 months...The repair man got a nasty spider bite that delayed us getting a new motor for a few extra days.. We all camped out in Eli's room for about 2 weeks because his room is the coolest at night.
I just downloaded pictures from our camera for the first time since July- so that always puts a hamper on my desire to blog- because I like pictures.
Everytime I would get on to possibly start blogging, I would start hopping around because it is so fun and addicting to catch up on family & friends that I have now and from back in the good ol high school days:)
But I need to stop telling you about these things so I can start blogging more photos- my favorite:)
Oh- I have to mention one other misfortune that is kind of funny because it happened to Stan, not me:)hee hee
Yesterday our ward was having a Chilli Cookoff/Fall Activity (last year I won the prize for the best chilli:) I wasn't really in the mood to make it this year, so Stan picked up the slack and made it himself. He asked me if I thought he should cook it in the dutch oven this year instead of the crockpot-- My first response was- No, it will be a lot messier--and then he thought it would be easier to transport the chilli in the dutch oven than the crockpot-- so I said-- it's up to you (since he was the one cooking it) Anyways, I had to make a quick dash to the APS Lamination store to get my FHE packet all done on time for the upcoming swap this week and left poor Stan with the 2 kiddos to go to the activity & I would get there asap. Well they pulled out of the driveway and as they were turning the corner (1 house away) the chilli fell out of the dutch oven that was suppose to be easier to transport-hee hee- all over the van.
I can't help but laugh about this because it seems like on so many occasions I try so hard and fall so short and in this instance-- this was the case with Stan.... He spent all morning cooking the chilli (I even ran to Smith's with the boys to get some missing ingredients that it called for) and then just like that- it didn't even make it around the corner. There was enough in the bottom of the pot for the two of us:) I enjoyed my serving yesterday after the mishap which would have certainly won the grand prize again--don't you love how the story gets bigger and bigger-hee hee. While Stan was in no mood to even touch the chilli after cleaning up a pot full of it out of the van- Thank goodness I didn't get back until after the cleanup was done. So now our van smells like chilli instead of smoke hee hee. (We bought a used van that was a smoker's van-- I know I know-- But it was a Smokin Deal:) no it really hasn't smelled like smoke for quite a while)- Later. Stan- I love you:)

Last night we had a tri-ward pool party at the Rio Grande H.S. Pool. I drove the van so that I could take the boys and pick up another member of our ward, Hailey. Stan drove the car so that he could stop by the church to pick up some cups and the store to pick up some ice.... Anyways, we actually arrived at the H.S. at the same time- which is kind of crazy cool timing. Stan pulled around to the back so he could unload coolers and cups etc. I pulled into the main parking lot with all the other cars and before we were all unloaded, Stan came back to the main parking lot and parked the car not too far from us in order to help us in with the load: chairs, 2 side dishes, towels, and kids. I had my hands full as I was carrying Isaac. Right before we left the van I grabbed a diaper from my diaper bag/backpack from the front of the van and then left the bag there with my wallet in it... even though I thought to myself I should probably take it in... dang it.... so you know where this is going. We came out around 8:30 to head home. Sister Graham was asking me if it was my van that was parked next to hers-- which it was... and then she told me that the driver's window was smashed in and somebody broke into it.. .... and then she asked me if I knew who the green car belonged to-- -Us Again-- those were the only two vehicles broken into--- We still can't believe our dumb luck. Punks. It's frustrating when I don't listen to that still small voice. They got my driver's license, ss card, lots of plastic and probably 2 cents--I hardly ever carry cash. They got both of our cell phones and Stan's work briefcase and Ipod. I can't help but picture in my mind my Grandpa Ward or Uncle George saying "Damn the Dirty Luck" or one of the boys immitating how he would say it. I know better than to leave my wallet in the car. Hard Lessons. Arghhhh. At least we are all safe and sound---Just in case you are curious-- which I would be... They made two charges on my debit card at gas stations by 7:30pm and the 3rd one declined-- They attempted using another credit card at a different gas station which thankfully declined-- great work anti-fraud departments.

picture from 7/9/08 7months old! Isaac is scooting all over the place. He is such a little busy body. Just a couple of weeks ago, I went to get him out of the crib and he was almost out of it by himself-- he had pulled himself up and was leaning on the top bar w/his forearms since the mattress was in the middle and the bar wasn't all the way to the top.. We have lowered the mattress to the bottom--in case you are wondering. :)

This weekend flew right by... We didn't get any snaps of the bride and groom-- oops--or of any of Vegas's 4th of July celebrations or any pics when we were actually dressed up... We left ABQ at 3:30am on 7/4/08- so there you go... but we had so much fun at Sione & Kim's wedding reception even though it was 118 degrees lol. Great Food, Company, and Dancing-plus I didn't get sick from eating anything at Circus Circus or anywhere else--which is always a plus when we're on the road. Eli loves his G&G Makaafi and Auntie Losili. Thanks for everything... It was so nice to hang out and eat watermelon together* Love you guys*

Eli fell asleep 10-15 minutes before we arrived at Lame, he was such a good trooper. He loved every minute of it. It was the most relaxing day we had had in a long time..... Just bouncing along down the tracks.. Isaac was great.. he was flirting with everyone on the train with his big smile.

On the train * This was such a fun day for all of us. Eli would not take off his back pack for the longest time. We went on an 18 mile trip to Lame from Santa Fe and back. It took an hour and a half or so to get there and then we ate an awesome BBQ meal and then rode the train back to Santa Fe. Eli has not forgotten this trip and keeps reminding us that we'll go another time on a train ride--- that's how he says he wants to do something again.

5/9/08. Isaac 5 months old. He got his two bottom teeth on 5/11-- I remember because he was exactly 5 months old plus it was on Mother's Day* Isaac likes chewing graham crackers. We put crumbled g-crackers in his oatmeal and that is a hit.

5/08 Eli's cute underwear bum. Sometimes Eli gets excited about wearing his train underwear but not enough to completely convert from diapers..... We are slowly...... getting there.... hopefully soon.--Ok we're not that close, but I'm hoping by his 3rd b-day-- he'll be ready to ditch the diapers.

Later that same day.....Thank goodness for benadryl... He is feeling much better and so am I.... Rashes are no fun. Since his first breakout... Isaac probably had to take benadryl 3 or 4 times... We thought he might be allergic to eggs, peanut butter, nuts... so we have been pretty careful about what we eat around him. We found some wonderful cream for his eczema (Vanicream) because Isaac used to dig, dig, dig, and make his head bleed--esp around forhead and top of his head....and nothing seemed gentle enough to not further aggravate the ezcema. Isaac has always been so strong... I would have to hold his arm down while he would nurse otherwise he used to keep digging at his head... Thank goodness his head is pretty much all clear and he doesn't scratch his head as much anymore-- he is now 7 months old and seems to be doing fine! We have not been as careful w/food around him and he seems to be fine.. so hopefully it was just a rough patch he went through for a couple of months.

I love that Eli is such a good big brother to Isaac. Every once in awhile he wants to hold him... so I grab my camera and start taking snaps... there is a few more, but this is so precious because he is kissing little brother. He usually kisses Isaac before bedtime. Eli is a big helper in the fact that he says "eyeick crying mommy" or "sweep eyeick" or "kiss eyeick" or "hold eyeick". I am so glad that Eli is loving and he's pretty good to tune out Isaac when he cries non stop in the carseat. The day of this picture....One of my weaknesses is nonplanning... This day I was home with the kids and I just all of the sudden thought it would be nice to get Valentine pics because Isaac had just turned 2 months old...and I hadn't made any Valentines and it was February 13th...the day before, so I start getting Isaac dressed and then Eli and by the time we get to the mall, Eli had fallen asleep in his carseat and Isaac was ready to eat again.... so I fed Isaac and then woke up Eli and headed to Kiddie Kandids-- so I stroll in and there was one worker at the desk with a family and nobody else, so I think-- great! We'll be able to go next and be out of here... Well the worker didn't even acknowledge that we were there, which was not a big deal if we would have been able to be next... so thank goodness there was a small kid room with about 4 broken toys that didn't work, but kept Eli busy for the next 15-20 minutes or so.... Well, then Isaac needed to be topped off, so I am nursing him in the toy room- sitting in the doorway to block Eli in, so he doesn't run off.... Well of course he wanted to get out and so I'm snapping back up and trying to deal with Eli who wants to escape and Isaac who is crying. Finally after we'd been there for about 30 minutes the worker comes back and says... do you have an appointment? I said no, she said well our next opening is at 1:45pm which was about an hour an some still to wait-- I'm like forget it. So thank goodness for food courts. We had Daddy meet us at the food court for lunch. Things seem to go a lot more smooth when daddy is around. We then headed to Walmart and Supercuts and then when we got home I took a couple of pictures of Eli and Isaac since Eli wanted to hold Isaac-- that is all we needed for a great V-day photo-- but of course I never printed them or sent any V-day greetings-- but here you go -- up on the blog before March*
